There are multiple types of management when it comes to cloud. You can have security management, so we can run monthly security scans, look at the vulnerabilities that come up within those scans and then correct them. We can look at coding and to help your application, so just ensuring application performs the best you possibly can. We could look at database management, so again look at the kind of queries you’re running in a database and ensuring that can scale correctly in the future, but all of these things we can help with. A management layer for a customer works by giving the customer assistance for anything they might need for their systems or for their websites’ applications. This can be used via MyHyve, which is a ticketing portal. We also use it internally between the system engineers but majority of the time it’s for customers to open tickets, if they have any issues, they want to upgrade resources on the servers, any general questions really they have with their applications, websites, anything they are hosting with us, which could include domain names as well. So the benefits of a cloud management layer are ultimately we get involved with your application, your database a lot more, and we’re the experts when it comes to that kind of stuff. If you’re a developer that’s great, you know your code really well, but ultimately you want that code on best it can against the infrastructure and that’s where we can step in and support you. We can get involved with every single aspect of your hosting, so anything can be included within it, so whether that’s security, performance tuning, coding, application level support, you know really you name it, Hyve can help you do it. Customers can request things such as upgrades, so if they wanted to upgrade the amount of resources or CPU cores for one of their servers, they can open a ticket, they can specify the server they want this for which is usually associated with a customer, and then what will happen is one of the system engineers will go in and actually make that change for them, and will reply and always keep in touch about restarting servers and making sure the times are appropriate for the customer. Ticketing system works by a customer submitting a ticket to the portal. This is broken down into three levels of priority, which the customer could select. P1 being the highest which is critical, that’s if a server goes down. P2 is urgent and P3 is important. So the customer will benefit because the priorities are a good way of letting us know the severity of the issue. A lot of other hosting companies don’t offer sort of priorities like that. So, P1 for example would be deemed as critical to their business so we need to be on the case urgently to solve the issue. Depending on what management you’ve got, they can get heavily involved, so we want something called proactive, advanced cyber monitoring which is basically a proactive level support, so as standard, any kind of critical issues we’ll answer within 20 minutes on a ticket, but with proactive management, any kind of monitoring alert that comes in, like whatever it is, it could just be a RAM alert saying you’ve reached a threshold of 60% of RAM utilization, but we’ll then log in and proactively have a look at the server and see what we can do to fix it or see what’s going on within the application and then make… make adjustments to ensure that performance is up to whatever else needs to be done. If you’re looking to grow and you might not have the resources in-house, then ultimately it’s a really good idea to work with a company that knows what it’s doing.
